I’m Celina Carter PhD, MN, RN, an advance practice nurse, nurse psychotherapist, and research scientist. I specialize in supporting people through life changing diagnoses, loss, and mortality related questions. I have long been curious about experiences of wholeness and communication, and how we live and die well attending to our spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and social wellbeing. Early in my nursing career, I was asked to care for a dying man in his home who wanted to talk about the dying process, spirituality, legacy, and love. This sparked a lifelong interest in how to support communication about living and dying and ensure people feel cared for in ways that honors what matters most to them.

In my practice everything I do starts with validation and creating a dedicated time for you to stop, calm, and look deeply. Drawing on training in nursing, health sciences, communication, mindfulness, and other therapeutic modalities, I engage in deep listening and together we explore your experiences causing suffering so we have a better idea of how to cultivate steadiness and wellbeing.
